Our Mission
We are building a structured network of schools across Africa that gives marginalized youth and refugee children direct access to standardized, high-quality, transformative education.
A refugee-led school founded and managed by the Kalobeyei Initiative for Better Life. We provide holistic, quality education through Kenya's Curriculum Based Education, innovative EduTech, and active parental engagement.
By leveraging play-based and project-based learning methods, we foster creativity and peer problem-solving. In our foundational program, we utilize the proven "Teach at the Right Level" (TaRL) methodology to directly accelerate numeracy and literacy outcomes.
Our core commitment toward inclusive education, human dignity, and sustainable transformation.
We are building a structured network of schools across Africa that gives marginalized youth and refugee children direct access to standardized, high-quality, transformative education.
A world where every child, including displaced refugees, can access quality education that restores their dignity, hope, and future.
"Because every child, no matter where they come from, deserves a chance to learn, grow, and dream again."
A holistic, refugee-led learning program designed to transform lives through tailored educational frameworks.
We implement the national education curriculum as mandated by the Ministry of Education. We integrate social and Emotional Learning, project-based learning, and play-based learning.
We integrate digital learning by equipping learners with early digital skills and providing access to quality digital content that strengthens learning outcomes.
We engage parents through structured groups that support Social and Emotional Learning, empower them as co-educators at home and in school, and link them to economic inclusion pathways to sustain their children's education over time.
The Light Instructional Framework for Excellence (L.I.F.E) is designed to strengthen teaching and learning in refugee and host community schools in Kakuma and Kalobeyei. The framework is structured around six interrelated pillars: Teacher Professional Growth, Lesson Planning and Delivery, Curriculum Enrichment, Assessment and Feedback, Student Engagement and Learning Environment, and Monitoring and Recognition.
Partner with us to document powerful success stories, expand specialized teacher training, and scale this high-impact model to more refugee-led schools.
